Here's my (2) direct KERNS lines-
---------------
1. James Nathan KERNS (1813/KY-1899/MO) m Elizabeth ANTLE (1814/KY-1892/MO)
1.6. Everhart KERNS (1845/MO-1926/MO) m Martha KERNS* (1850/MO-1936/MO)
1.6.1. Almedia Jane KERNS (1871/MO-1917/MO) m Sherman Ulysses HAYDEN
(1867/IL-~1935/OR)
--------------
1. James KERNS (1820/?-1877/MO) m Elizabeth BOYER (1826/?-~1900/MO)
1.1. Martha KERNS* (1850/MO-1936/MO) m Everhart KERNS (1845/MO-1926/MO)
1.1.1. Almedia Jane KERNS (1871/MO-1917/MO) m Sherman Ulysses HAYDEN
(1867/IL-~1935/OR)
--------------
The first KERNS line above originated in Russell Co., KY & migrated to
Buchanan Co., MO about 1840. The are listed in the 1850 Census - Marion
Township, Buchanan Co., MO. James "Nathan" KERNS & Elizabeth ANTLE KERNS are
burried in the Antle Cemetery, Easton, Buchanan Co., MO.
Son, Everhart KERNS married his "cousin", Martha KERNS, but don't know how
these two lines are connected. They lived in King City, Gentry Co, MO & are
burried in the King City Cemetery.
Undocumented info implies that James "Nathan" KERNS is descended from Adam
KERNS, Sr. b1766/VA d1844/MO & Mary McClanahan (1786-?). They were in
Adair/Cumberland/Russell Co., KY by 1802. Adam KERNS, Sr. is also burried in
the Antle Cemetery, Easton, Buchanan Co., MO. Adam KERNS, Sr. is said to be
the son of Michael KERNS (~1729-1807/VA) & Elizabeth ?
Can anyone on this list provide additional info on these lines?
