I am interested in tracing the background of a John KEARN, who was
aged 26 in 1855, born in Cornwall, England, parish unknown. His name
was thereafter spelt as CARN or CARNE.

He migrated from Cornwall to Australia in 1855, occupation given as
farm labourer.

There are several Kern/Kearn families in the parish records of
Menheniot, Cornwall, and I would be pleased to hear from anyone else
interested in these families.
