A few days ago I posted my oldest KERNS as Fleming KERNS, living in PA
around 1840-1850. He disappears on the 1860 census, but I have found a
Fleming KERNS on the 1870 census in Kentucky with a different wife and
different children. Perhaps he moved to PA then returned to KY. If you
have KERNS in Kentucky could you check for a missing son? I have a death
certificate of one of his PA sons stating his first name as Semuel, not
Fleming. Perhaps his name was Fleming Semuel KERNS? Or perhaps you have a
FLEMING family connection? Any help would be appreciated.
