Hello,
My oldest Kern is Philip Jacob Kern, my gr.gr.gr.gr. grandfather, b.
1734 in Bavaria, Germany d. May 20, 1799 in York County, PA. This
information was sent to me by Jill Orr of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
Previously, I only knew of Philip's son Jacob Kern b. Apr. 7, 1770 in
York, PA, and his wife Susana (Spielman) b. April 30, 1774 in
Shippingsburg, Cumberland County, PA. Jacob and Susana are buried at
Switzerland County, Indiana. They had 13 children:

1. Catharine b. Nov. 21, 1792
2. Susannah b. abt 1794
3. John George b. Sept. 1, 1796
4. Jacob b. abt. 1798
5. James Francis b. abt 1800
6. Joseph b. Aug. 27, 1803
7. Juliana b. 1805
8. Elizabeth b. June 17, 1807
9. Samuel S. b. March 4, 1809
10. Maria Francis b. abt. 1810
11. Edward Spielman b. March 15, 1811
12. George W. b. abt. 1812
13. Sarah Ann b. March 2, 1813

Several of the above are buried in Ebenezer Cemetery, Switzerland Co.,
IN with their parents Jacob & Susana Kern.
