My oldest Kerns was Silas Kernes/Kerns b. abt 1801 KY d. abt 1861 MO??
married Feb 4, 1855 MO to Ailey Cairlin James (she went by the name Caroline).
Their son was John Martin Kerns b.Dec 25, 1855 DeKalb Co MO d.Aug 22, 1954KS
married abt 1875 to Rosetta (Rosie) Wilson. They had 8 children:
1. Alonzo Kerns
2. Lillie Kerns (married a Woods)
3. Tyrone Kerns
4. Charles Edward Kerns (married Criptol Hockaday)
5. Robert Austin Kerns(married Ethel Crippen)
6. Lucy D. Kerns (married Albert Jewels)
7. Willie Kerns (married Leona Markley)
8. Louise Kerns (married a Tilton)
