I hope that I did not confuse you with Conrad and John KERN. Conrad and
John KERN were brothers. In my information Susanna KERN who married
John ELLER was the daughter of John KERN. You can check John KERN's will
which is recorded in Rowan County, North Carolina, in Will Book H, page
248. I do not have a copy of that Will but I know that Susanna is listed
as a child in that Will, and I assume she is identified as Susanna ELLER
since she was married in 1792 and John KERN died in 1823. This Will is
also at the North Carolina State Archives.

Also there are two land deeds in Rowan County in which John KERN is
buying land from Conrad KERN which probably contain some information.
Conrad KERN sold land to John KARN on May 5, 1774 (Rowan Deeds VIII, page
138) and again on November 19, 1798 (Rowan Deeds XII, page 201).

I have not done any digging on John KERN. I hope these resources are
helpful to you.
