I am looking for parents of George Kern, 1864 1946 who I believe came to
Barnesburg, Hamilton County, Ohio from Prussia. He married Florence Matlack,
1868-1933, daughter of Phoebe Matlack, 1849-1938, (father unknown; their
daughter once said she knew he was one of a family of brothers, probably
cousins if I remember correctly, but the name was never revealed). They are
all buried at Miamitown Cemetery, Hamilton, County.
Their children were Mary Kern who m Hubert Allen and Warren Musicamp Kern,
1909- 1961, who m Dorothy _________. They had two children, Kenneth and
Eugenia. The family was also related to Chester Jackson, founder of
supermarket chain in Indianapolis and also in coal business.
I would appreciate any information about this family. There are very few
known living relatives.
