Haven't seen the Kern/Karnes family I have been researching so here goes:

Michael Kern (b. 1729-d. Feb 1807 in Bedford Co., VA)
Married first: Elizabeth
Married second: Catherine Shaver in Botetourt Co., VA

Children of Michael and Elizabeth: John, Job, Reuben, Thomas, Elizabeth,
Hannah, Susanna and Moses.

Children of Michael and Catherine:Adma, Michael, Abraham, Catherin, Mary and
Barbara

Moses (son of Michael and Elizabeht was b abt 1783 in Bedford Co, VA and
died Nov 1851 in Russell Co., KY. He married Sarah Craig January 14, 1806
in Bedford Co., Virginia. Moses had ten children (do not have all their
names). Some of their children: William, Rebecca(?), Charles Thomas Karnes
(b Nov 16, 1812 Bedford Co., VA, d Oct 24, 1882, Oglesby, Coryell Co., TX),
Manerva, Clerissa, James and Sarah Ann.

Charles Thomas Karnes (have located the name spelled Kern, Kearns and
Karnes) married Mary Holmes (daughter of Hugh and Nancy Bryan Holmes) Feb
17, 1835 in Russell Co., KY. They migrated to Texas in the early 1850's.

Victor Carson (b Feb 1, 1849, Russell Co., KY)
Charles Thomas, Jr. (b Jul 19, 1854, Oglesby Texas, d Feb 19, 1933,
Goldthwaite, Mills Co., TX) m. Martha (Mattie) Jane Oglesby
George Nicholas (b 1857, Texas, d after 1924

Seeking more information on this family and would be happy to share the
additional information I have. Thanks!
