Happy Easter and Passover, fellow KERN researchers! I may be crazy, but I
have always enjoyed roll calls and have found a great deal of info that
way, so thanks, Erin, for keeping this list alive.
Here's what I have:
Matthias KERN, b.? d. 1800 in Westmoreland County, PA. Matthias KERN
witnessed a deed for Henry KERNS in Ligonier in 1773, so he was in PA from
at least that time.
William KERN, Jr., son of Matthias, Revolutionary Soldier, born about 1756
near Easton, PA, married Catherine HOOVER, and died in 1837.
William KERN, II, son of William Jr., married Nancy WHITE. He lived and
died on the KOOSER place (another name of mine) in PA, probably
Westmoreland county.
Sarah KERN, daughter of William II, dates unknown, married Samuel KOOSER.
Some of this info is contrary to what appeared in the 1956 Tilden KERN
book, but I have read some pretty convincing letters that suggest Tilden
KERN was mistaken on William's ancestry.
I have more info for anyone who is interested.

Thanks!
