Hello,
Do you happen to have information on the family of Catharine Kern from
Switzerland County, Indiana who married a Ruddell and moved to Clark
County, Indiana?
She was from PA and was born Nov. 21, 1792 to Jacob and Susannah
(Spielman) Kern. Prior to her marriage to Rev. Cornelius Ruddell, she
was married to George Taylor Bushfield.
I am also interested in the Kern family who lived out of Henryville,
Indiana. Sarah Elizabeth CLEGG (of Henryville) married Edward Kern
(also of Henryville, I presume, as a small Kern cemetery is near where
they lived, and some Kerns were buried there probably before Edward was
born.) In addition to KERN in the same cemetery are the surnames
KIELMEIER, DIETRICH, EBINGER, BRANDT, AND KOERNER.
A KERN cousin, I have been corresponding with, tells me the Kern Family
in Scottsburg, Indiana, who owned the Kern Bakery were originally from
Switzerland County, Indiana.
I am interested in all branches of the family, and am glad to share.
