My Johann Phillip Kern was b. 27 Aug 1789 in Billigheim, Bavaria. He
was the s/o Jacob Kern and Eva Margarethe Hauck. Johann Phillip married
Katharine Hurtig, b. ca 1784, d/o Nicolas Hurtig and Sophia
Lingenfelder.
Their first two sons were named Johannes, and both died young. This is
the family of my Peter Kern, b 22 Feb 1813 in Billigheim. He m. a
Caroline Geib and they lived in Cook Co IL where Johann Phillip and his
wife died between 1850-60.
Does any one recognize this family??? Janice
