I want to ask everyone to use these lists (BEERS, GODFREY, KERN, MONROE,
RICHMOND, SPICER, STEARNS & TINGLEY) for surname related messages only.
This message (partially quoted) has been floating around for quite awhile.
There actually is some validity to the concern, BUT it is not something
that I would like us to get into a discussion about.

Please do not use any of these surname lists to forward messages about any
kind of political concerns (this message) virus warning (almost always
fake) or anything not somehow related to the surname of the list.

If these lists get out of hand with unrelated messages I'll ask RootsWeb to
drop the list from their server. Thanks for your consideration, good
hunting for your ancestors.
