As the list owner of this list I have tried not to be too intrusive with a
list of lots of rules, etc. We aren't a very active list, so the traffic is
not overwhelming. However, one of my very firm rules is DO NOT SEND
ATTACHMENTS to the list in general.

If you have a long message (more than about 30KB) or an attachment that you
think people would be interested in, send a message about it to the list.
Invite the people to ask you privately for the long message or attachment,
then send it to them privately.

Some people have mailers that lock up with attachments or long messages. I
used to have the problem myself. Anyway, please do not send attachments to
the list in general.
