Just briefly, I hope that you and yours have the best of holidays over the
current season. As I work tomorrow (Thanksgiving) my thoughts are going to
be with family, friends, and my extended community of Internet friends.

AOL MEMBERS CHECK YOUR MAIL

I've started getting a lot of errors from AOL for members of that service
whose mail boxes are full. In those cases, AOL rejects your mail and sends
it back. If you are on AOL and won't be able to check your mail on a
regular basis, set your subscription to nomail and then check the archives
every so often. Because of all the error messages I'm getting back from
AOL, I'm going to have to remove AOL members whose mail boxes get full and
reject messages. Sorry to be a jerk, but I get several hundred messages a
day from all the lists I subscribe to, and don't want to waste my time
getting error messages from you day after day.

I LIED THIS COMMAND DOES

This Command Does Work (I Just Tested It)-----
To get a copy of the ListName list welcome message (lists some other commands):
Mail to:
Subject: blank (not read by system)
Message body: SEND ListName.HI

If, for some reason you need another copy of the list's welcome message, the
only way to get it is to unsub and then sub again. You can do these actions
within just a few minutes of each other.

QUICK REMINDERS:

Anywhere in this message that you see the word ListName you should
substitute the name of the surname list you are subscribed to, i.e. if you
are on the BEERS list, change ListName to BEERS for any of the addresses or
commands.

These lists are not exceptionally active, it is not uncommon to go for
several days without messages. If you are worried that you may not be on
the list any longer, send a "review" message as shown further down in this
message.
