Subject: Back In Service (I Think)

Between my server and I we have my e-mail account back in service. I
still can't use Netscape since the problem corrupted the program, but I
can access my mail via Eudora Lite.

If you sent me any mail anytime Friday or Saturday (10/18 & 10/19) please
send it to me again. To get me back on line, we had to dump my entire
waiting e-mail file on the server. So I did not get any mail on Friday
or Saturday.

The problem was that someone sent me a file attachment which was over
3,700 KB (took 2 1/2 hours to down load). This somehow screwed up the
server files and my files, created a loop, and kept building up the
storage on the servers disk. By the time we discovered the problem there
was more than 25 MB of mail waiting to be downloaded. My email programs
kept timing out trying to download the files.

This is another reminder of why you should never send anyone a file of
more than about 30KB in size without asking them first.

Thanks

Chet
