GENERAL:

This is just a general message with a couple of administrative reminders
for subscribers to the KERN mail list.

MAIL ADDRESSES:

Commands go to:

When you respond to a message on the list it automatically goes to the
originator only. To send a copy of the response to the list in general,
you have to manually add the list address to your response.

SOME COMMANDS:

To subscribe to the list:
Mail to:
Subject: blank (not read by system)
Message body: SUB KERN

To unsubscribe from the list:
Mail to:
Subject: blank (not read by system)
Message body: UNSUB KERN

To get a copy of the KERN list welcome message (lists some other
commands):
Mail to:
Subject: blank (not read by system)
Message body: SEND KERN.HI

If you need something specific in connection with the list, or have some
problem, send a message to with KERN in the subject
line.
