Could you contact me regarding the information you have? My lineage is from Henry Levi Jolly (b. 1785/d. 1872) m. Cassandra Dickerson (b. 1788/d. 1872) in South Carolina. They are my g-g-g-great grandparents. I am planning to visit their gravesite at the Old Hopewell Cemetery in December 2004 as I understand their headstone is still legible.
My g-g-great grandfather is Robert Henry "Robin" Jolly (b. 1808/d. 1862) of South Carolina and my great-great grandfather is Capt. Joseph Lewis Jolly (b. 1837 in SC/d. 1924 in Naples, TX).
Many of the children's names of Henry Jolly and Cassandra Dickerson that you listed match names that I have in my list, but I have different birthdates for many of the children and I do not have a Jospeh Madison Jolly as one of their children. Your list also excludes my g-g-great grandfather Robert Henry "Robin" Jolly. Also, I'm not familiar with a Peter Jolly (b. abt 1730).
Much of my list comes from noted Jolly/Jolley researcher Mary Henke who passed away a few years ago and from other Jolly cousins who have been researching for several years. I did some research 10-15 years ago and am just getting back into it.
The list I have notes the parents of Henry Levi Jolly (b. 1785) as Henry Levi Jolly (b. 1750 or 1760/d. 1789) m. Millie Jones.
I'd be interested in learning any information you have about this line of my family. Thanks!
