I am interested in your Martin Johannes from Oberelsbach. I now have reason to believe that my great-grandfather Karl Ludwig Johannes was from that area. He married Susanna Eckert who was from Sondernau.

He was born 11/8/1838, arrived USA 5/20/1871 with Susanna. He died 1/20/1916 Piqua, Ohio. Family ledgend has it he had other siblings here as well. George, Sophia, Nora, Charles, and William.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
