Thanks for the site and info about the old country. I
am stumped as to the parents of my David Jay b SC (abt
1785 - I'm at work and don't have the exact date) d
Conecuh Co, Ala 1866 m Margaret. Only children Andrew
Jay and Martha M Jay b 1816 SC (Mosley, Williamson).
Some Jay researchers say David's father was Joseph,
but I personally have no proof. AND my grandfather
said his ancesters were all English. (Some have turned
out to probably be Scotish, but close enough. So I am
REALLY interested in the English connection as the
departure part for America.

All help appreciated.
