Rev. David Jay is NOT the same as the William David Jay. The William David
Jay,
born in Bath England, who designed the old houses in Savannah and Charleston,
is mentioned in MANY history books from South Carolina, Georgia, Savannah,
and
Charleston. They are in the library, but I do not have the time to go and
look them
up. He was quite a famous architect, He was born sometime around 1790. He
was in Charleston between 1819 and 1822. More later, when I have the time.
