Good Evening Listers on both SIMPSON and JACKSON lists
We are new to this list...and have a bit of a dilemma which we are hoping
that SKL may be able to resolve.
We have Charlotte SIMPSON marrying John HENDERSON in 1896 - Victorian
Registration #3857. We understand that Charlotte was born in Ballarat ...
The children born to the marriage are all registered with the father John
HENDERSON, and the mother Charlotte SIMPSON.
However, Charlotte's Death record states:
Surname: HENDERSON
Given Name: Charlotte
Father: John JACKSON
Mother: Ann PHILLIPS
Death Place: Chiltern
Age 73
Year 1953
Reg Number: 18315
Event D
There are family trees online with John JACKSON and Ann Phillips as parents
of Charlotte JACKSON but not SIMPSON ...
We have many questions, however...we continue to ponder....
The son of John HENDERSON and Charlotte SIMPSON - John Stanley HENDERSON
took his maternal grandfathers family name JACKSON when he enlisted during
World War 1 ...his war record is in the name of JACKSON
Also, JS HENDERSON married in Woolwich, Kent, England during WW1 to Maud
Elizabeth LEPARD. The marriage certificate is in the name of JACKSON, and
my mother who was born ten days after the marriage, is Maud McIntryre
JACKSON.
We are hoping that there may be some listers researching this/these families
With best wishes
Pamela in Victoria, Australia
