This is an addition to my reply to Joyce STOVER'S () Apr. 29, 2006, posting to the RootsWeb JACKSON Message Board titled "Re: David Jackson The 2ndMarried Mary Polly Carlock Tenn. to Ill. ."

According to page 436 of the book "History of the Carlock Family," by Marion Pomeroy CARLOCK, 1929, Mary's mother Sarah WHITMAN CARLOCK who accompanied David and Mary to Sangamon Co., IL, died near Jacksonville, IL, in 1833. Although I do know the exact date of David and Mary's migration to Illinois, this would place them there by 1833.
