Please! If you guys do find out anything about that book, or come into
possession of it, I want to know!! My 3rd Gr grandfather, William
Jackson, shows up in the 1850 census in Butler County, AL. He was born
1798 and according to a later census of his son, he was born or FROM
North Carolina. I Have been saving all of these similar Jackson postings
JUST IN CASE. I was told just like so many of you may have been told,
that we are a DISTANT cousin of Andrew Jackson, but just like one of the
other postings said, it could be any Andrew Jackson. I have yet to
validate any of that. I would just be happy to find out where William
Jackson, b. 1798 in North Carolina, descends from!!

Actually, I think a good number of us Jacksons' would like to be able to
sort this mess out. I think that I might be related to Peter, etc. etc.,
but no proof yet The latest help I've been told was an author by the
name of Evelyn Brandenberger that wrote a book about the Duke family of
lower Va. that includes valuable information about the Jacksons'. If you
find anything out, please keep me in mind.
