I'm sorry it seems I started something with my posting of a link to a "site" that was about the Six Nations (which is in the East), and my comment about it not including the Mohican was about that link....not this site.? Yes...this indian-territory-roots as I understand is for those who traveled to what was called indian territory and which is now OK.? But it was not my intention to exclude anyone looking for any history.? Those looking for history that is not involving indian territory...i would encourage to continue your search.? There are other lists....and other sites regarding those histories.
I wish you luck in tracing your heritage...as i know how important others sharing with me has been in my search.

trace because they are not in my immediate blood line, Yet they are uncles and
cousins
Thats Pertty one way if you ask me, So I guess you are saying its my toy
and no one else is allowed to play with it.

i have a question,
I trace my Indian Blood back to at least 1770 in NC
Some of my ancestors were herded to Oklahoma others were missed and left
behind in NC
where my Great grand father was a medicineman
am i allowed to talk about my Indian Blood line on this site
altho my straight blood line is not through your Oklahoma territory
to me fighting over who can talk indians on an indian site is counter
productive.
Thanks Elmer

Hello jes the name of the site is "indian-territory-rootsat
rootsweb.com"
so it is more generic and applies to any indian tribe not just the
Iroquois (Six Nations) therefore Mohican is a legitimate tribe to be
mentioned.
I am no longer a member of this computer group but people from the group
are
still welcome to contact me personally. lfd

it
is called 5 Nations and not 6. You need to contact the Muscogee Creek
