My only advice would be to start searching other ports of entry. If I were
you, I would search the actual passenger arrival cards for Ellis Island.
Her name would be soundexed. Try spellings for different names. For EI,
there are 2 sets of passenger arrival cards, one for those are in abc order
and the other that are Soundexed. I wouldn't put much stock in what is
written on the census forms. I have a gg.... aunt who was listed as B,
Black when she was White. Parents white, etc. She was my gg gmother's
sister.

You might find the child's name. If you find one, you will find the other.
