The County Library in Castlebar, 2nd floor has a wonderful genealogy department. There is a copy machine for a fee. The people are very helpful. For post 1864 Birth Certificates, and many marriage & death certificates, the Registration Office is on North Antrim. Make a list with your dates in advance. There is a small staff and usually a line. I have all my data together & give it to the clerk. I take a seat & wait. Nothing is more frustrating than a tourist who is ahead of you with a "I think" request and maybe just a surname.

Hello, I'd be most grateful for any ideas on how I could obtain information
on the Heaney-Golden families from Kilmaine County Mayo.
My son and I will be in Ireland the third week in March and visiting
Kilmaine is on the top of our list.
thanking you in advance Mary Heaney
