Try taking a look at ChicagoAncestors.org. There are several features that
can help with this type of problem. On the tools page there are links to
some city directories, street guides, address conversion lists and digital
maps of Chicago. Once you find an address or area of the city you're
interested in, go to the search page. You can enter an address, intersection
or just click on the magnifying glass icon and then on the map. It also lets
you select a radius (i.e. within 1 mile).

You'll then see a results page with different categories of information. If
you select Catholic Churches, the churches within the area you selected will
be displayed on the map. Click on one of the icons and information about
that church will be displayed - date founded, whether its still open, ethnic
affiliation and the FHL film number if the records are on microfilm.
