Thanks, Maureen, those sites look to be very helpful. I have the ceritifcate number and date my relative applied for his pension in 1889. So it's a matter of what further information I can collect.

I found on the NARA website information on the rolls stored there for the
Civil War Pensions. I don't know if you already have this info or whether the
info on the indexed records would satisfy the info you are seeking.

If this info would suffice, the records are located at NARA on S. Pulaski.
