For a possible future outing, as Nan commented: Arlington Heights Library
does have a genealogy department with lots of books, microfilms, etc. The Peggy
Kinane Irish Restaurant & Pub is about a half mile from the library. Parking
is easy for both locations, and the metra train is an option.
