J Onahan.

DANIEL GALLERY
ON DEVER LEGAL STAFF
DIES AT 72

DANIEL V GALLERY, well known Chicago attorney,
who was an assistant corporation counsel under former
Mayor Dever, died yesterday in his home at 1612 Chase avenue.
Mr Gallery was preparing to attend an anniversary mass for his
mother, who died fifty years ago. It was to have been celebrated
in Holy Name Cathredral by his son, REV JOHN IRELAND GALLERY.

Born in Chicago 72 years ago, Mr Gallery was graduated from
St Ignatius College and the Chicago College of Law. He was
admitted to the bar in 1893 and later became a mmeber of
the firm of Dever and Dever. From 1921 to 1927 he was in the
corporation counsel's office.

Surviving are his widow, the former Mary Onahan, and five
children, Margaret, the Rev John I; and Lieutenant Commander
Daniel V. Jr; Lieut. William O; and Lieut. Philip D.; all with
the United States Navy Awronautical Department.
The funeral will be tomorrow at 930am from the home to
St Jerome church for services with burial in Calvary Cemetery.
