Nan -
Thanks for this site. I knew they were working on the project, but I didn't
realize there was anything up on the web. This is really great. Thanks again.

This map is great.
Just click on a county on the map and see a list of all newspapers
catalogued by the Illinois Newspaper Project
and where those newspapers can be found.

They have catalogued 1965 newspapers from Cook County, for example:

NewBerry Library has 1670.
Chicago History Museum has 3901* in onsite Storage and and 258 in
offsite storage.
Chicago Public Library, 1324. etc

The Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library in Springfield has 6,442!

No word about indexing yet!

Nan

* CHM's 3901 titles include other Illinois and other US papers
