Fate of the Chicago Continegent of Irish-
Americans---New Yorker Killed.

Secretary of the United Irish Societies,
which has been assisting the Chicago
contingent of Irish-Americans which fought
for the Boer caurse in South Africa, today
received a cable dispatch giving a list of
the dead, wounded, imprisoned, or surviv-
in members of the expedition. The mes-
sage came from Trieste, Austria, where the
survivors are stranded.
In the battle at Dalmanthia MICHAEL C
O'HARA of Chicago and ERNEST LUTHER OF
New York were killed. At Tolucha EDWARD H
EGAND and DUNNE, a recruit from Bos-
ton died. The bodies were buried on the
battle fields RICHARD CAHILL and DENNIS
FOLEY of Chicago are prisoners at the
British fort in Caylon and JOHN RILEY of
Holyoke Mass is with Gen CRONJE at St.
Helena
