STANTON Brothers James F. b. 1833 and John b. 1836 in Kilfinnane Co.
Limerick. To Chicago by mid 1850s. Michael b. 1846 (said to be)
half-brother came to Chicago before 1870. James m. Margaret BYRNE in 1858
at Old St. Marys. John m. Mary BYRNE in 1862 at Holy Family. Michael m.
Anne DOOLEY 1872. Families were in Holy Family parish >Visitation parish
and Sacred Heart.
James F. and John with families are buried at Calvary Cem in Evanston.
Michael bur. at Mt. Olivet as are later generations of Stanton families.
BYRNE Sisters Margaret and Mary who married Stantons (above) had brother
Peter b. 1820 and sister Lucy who also came to Chicago. They were b. in
Queens (Laois) Co Ireland but bapt. in Monasterevin Co. Kildare. Other
siblings were in NY state along the Hudson R.
DUNN William and Bridget BARRETT DUNN came from Co. Limerick Ireland to
Putnam Co. NY around 1866 and to Chicago by 1880. Members St. Anne parish.
Buried at Mt. Olivet. Daughters m. Philip McGUIRE.
