Nancy,

There are many webites available, but if you are looking for birth records and the relative was RC, then look at http://www.stjohnsarchdiocese.nf.ca/index.asp. Click on the archives and email Larry Dohey. He is busy and does take a long time to respond. There is a one time fee of $25 (USD) and then $10 for every record found.

The Grand Banks site is very good also. There is a lot there. It can be overwhelming. The address is http://ngb.chebucto.org/

There is also a GENWEB site that is good. It is located at http://www.rootsweb.com/~cannf/recent.htm

There is another site that is a little pricey, but they have access to a lot of records. It is called The Rooms. The address is http://www.therooms.ca/

I hope this helps.

Bill
