I was at the Irish American Heritage Center last night, and picked up
a flyer for an event coming up there later this month, thought I'd
pass the info along from the website in
case anyone might be interested:

Irish Genealogy Speakers Session

On Thursday, June 21st, the Center will host genealogical speakers
Fintan Mullan, Executive Director, and Dr.
Brian Trainor, Research Director, from the Ulster Historical Society
in Belfast, Ireland.
They will speak on Irish Catholic Records: Annotations to the Records
and Some Lesser-known Sources for Finding Irish Catholic Ancestors
and Emigration from Ulster to North America in the 18th Century
followed by a question and answer session.
The presentation is 6:00 to 9:30pm. The fee is $10.
The speakers will have a selection of books and
materials for sale. People wishing for a personalized service
can sign up for a preliminary research assessment for $50.
The Ulster Historical Foundation has fifty years of experience in
dealing with family history enquiries and is widely regarded as one
of the primary genealogical research agencies in Ireland.

ancestors? Wondering just where and how to begin the search? Not sure
what resources are available or how to locate them? The IAHC offers a
session on genealogy the last Sunday of every month from 1:00 p.m. to
3:00 p.m. in the library. This is free and open to members. The next
meeting is June 24.
