The Southtown on west 63rd St. was famous for the diorama of the
Chicago Fire and The Flamingo Pool.
There were many theaters in the vicinity, i.e. the Empress and The
Stratford. Bob Hope was said to have played the Stratford when it was
live theater or vaudeville.
