(This Patrick McCartin was born in No Ireland about 1859-1863 and
emigrated 1887-1889)

"A Mass of Thanksgiving at St Brendan's church began anniversary
festivities last week for Mr and Mrs. Patrick J. McCartin,
6515 S Laflin St. They lived in Southtown for 44 years. They recall
that when they first arrived Ogden Park was a cabbage patch.

The mass was followed by a family breakfast at Mickelberry's. In the
evening a reception was held at Flynn's Hall, 3226 W 63rd st.

Mr McCartin is a retired employee of the Illinois Central Railroad.
The couple are the parents of seven children:
Mrs. William Gilmore, 10820 S Whipple; John McCartin, 6831 S Damen;
Frank McCarten 6??1 So Bishop; Mrs Charles Rogers, 6518 Bishop;
Mrs Frank Cahill 6548 S Honore; Mrs Fred Smith 6517 S Laflin; and
Bartlett McCartin 6515 S Laflin.
They are the grandparents of 22 grandchildren and three Great-

Chicago Tribune Marriage notice in 1892 gives there ages as 33 and 22.
Patrick McCartin and Elizabeth "Ingolsby" were married in Cook,
Illinois on 6/1/1892, certificate no 00184193 (Illinois Marriage INdex)
No obit found in the Chicago Tribune for Patrick, who died after June
1942 and before Sept 1948.
Patrick was born in Ireland in March of 1863 and emigrated (per 1900
census) in 1888. (1889 in the 1920 census 1930 census says 1887)
Natualized Citizen 1894. 1930 Census states Northern Ireland as
place of birth.

Elizabeth Ingoldsby was born (Oct 1869) in Illinois.
Her father Patrick Ingoldsby*, born Ireland Aug 1831 was living w
them in 1900 and he emigrated in 1849.
In the 1900 Census they were living at 6517 S Laflin.
One census has Patrick Ingoldsby born in Ireland, another born in

Monday at 9am from funeral home,
1716-18 W 63rd St, to St Brendan's church. Interment Holy Sepulchre.
