Date: Tue, 17 Sep 2002 03:08:12 -0400

Seek to communicate with any descendent(s) in the Chicago area of a Thomas Louis Smith & his wife ? Eckhart, the spelling of whose last name I am not sure of.
Thomas was a son of Thomas Sr. who was b. 1850+/- Eng. or Irel. & d. Jan. 3, 1923 in Montreal & his wife Bridget was b. circa 1860+/- in Irel. & d. Apr. 26, 1942 also in
Montreal. They were married when Bridget was apparently 19 and emigrated to
Montreal, Que. somewhere around the turn of the century (1900). They had 9 children of whom some? were born in England (one at least in Liverpool) and some? born in Ireland. Brothers & sisters of Thomas were 2 brothers, John b. Aug.? 1874?
& Gerald James b. Oct. 28, 1896, and 6 sisters, Joanne (Jenny) b.?, Katherine Celia (Kate) b.?, Mary Margaret b. Jul. 6, 1878 Irel., Rose Eva May b. May 28, 1885, Liverpool, Eng., Elizabeth b. Sep.? 1889?, Margaret Ann (Peggy) b.?

Notes: - Katherine Celia died Sep. 21, 1926 giving birth. Child's name not known.
Thomas Louis' sister Mary Margaret (my Grandmother) was married to a William John Murphy who drowned age 36 in a canoeing accident Sept. 20, 1914 on the Back River (Riviere des Prairies) on the north shore of Montreal.
