Hi to the members of this list!

I'm fairly new to working on family history and computers and have been on
the
GEN-NEWBIE-list for awhile and thought it was time to spread my wings alittle.

I'm working on my mother's line of RIEDE. Kathleen RIEDE was born in 1913,
in Kalamazoo, MI., to Joseph D. RIEDE, born 1879 in MI., and Genevieve
WHITTY, born 1883 in Ontario, Canada. Joseph and Genevieve had 4 other
children: Francis (Frank) b) 1905, Joseph b) 1907, Genevieve b)1910,
Eugene b) 1922. They lived in Angola, Ind., where they had owned Riede's
Dept. Store.

The RIEDE's owned another "Riede's Dept. Store" in Bourbon, Ind., approx.
date 1936 and closed at the end of 1938. Kathleen was the manager of the
store at that time.

I believe while she was in Bourbon, she met Harry L. REDMAN and they
married on July 4, 1939, in Angola, Ind.

My father's parents were: Mertie MORELAND and Adam REDMAN. Adam died in
Bourbon in 1930. They had 9 children: Verna, Kenneth, Doris, George,
Harold, Robert, Tony, Janice, and Harry.

I would be interested in any information about the stores or about the
families from those areas.
