Mary Anne, our Smith`s & Messersmith`s lived only in White River Township,
and your Jesse lived in Blue River Township, which was like another country.
There was three distinct Smith`s that came to Connersville all about the
same time, 1811-1812, but they all came from different parts of the east.
Caleb Blood Smith, Oliver Hampton Smith, and Tobias Smith, who named his son
Tobias, and so on for years a genealogical nightmare. cousin Bob Alloway
