Anne Gregory sent query about her family including names WARD, GRITTON,
LIPSEY, and COMBS.

I wasn't sure which wife of William WARD Anne descends from. However, if it
is from the GRITTON & LIPSEY marriage, I am aware somewhat of a couple of
LIPSEY females. I had two that married into my Johnson Co IN families of
ROBERTS & TRUE. Below is that connection. Perhaps you might want to
pursue (off list at the address below) in regard to moves of siblings, etc.

Mary LIPSEY, b 13 Dec 1826 KY; d 11 Apr 1892 Shelby Co IL, bur Clark Cem;
m 26 Dec 1848 Johnson Co IN to Richard ROBERTS. Mary was his second wife.
Mary was d/o John LIPSEY & Angelletta COMBS who were married in 4 Jun
1804 in Lincoln Co KY. John LIPSEY probably died between 1830 Wayne Co
KY census and 1840 Morgan Co IN census. Angelletta was in Johnson Co
1850 census and her will is recorded there in 1850.

Elizabeth LIPSEY, b ca 1822 KY; d 12 Jul 1880 Jersey Co IL; m 12 Feb 1846
Johnson Co IL to Hansford TRUE. Elizabeth was also d/o John LIPSEY &
Angelletta COMBS.

Asa M. LIPSEY, a brother of Mary & Elizabeth, m 2) 1 Nov 1855 Shelby Co IL
to Bethia ROBERTS. His first wife was Permelia BARNES and they were m in
Johnson Co IN 17 Jan 1848.
