I have records of a marriage between Mary E. Leffler to a John W. Craig in Decatur Co., 18 Sep 1873. The 1880 census for Decatur Co lists a Mary Craig in the household of her parents M.A. (Michael A.) and Sarah Leffler as a widow with two sons, Charley and John Craig. I have a death certificate listing a Mary M. Favors daughter of Michael Leffler and Sarah Phillips (the above couple) and wife of Francis Marion Favors dying on 03 Apr 1936 with a birth date of 11 Sep 1856. From the census of 1880 I had estimated the Mary Craig listed as being born about 1856. I am assuming that these Marys are all the same person, but the difference in middle initials is somewhat confusing. Does anyone know this family? Could anyone do a lookup for a marriage record for a Mary Craig and Francis Marion Favors? I have no idea as to date, but it would be after the 1880 census was taken. Or are Indiana marriage records on line? Would I be able to find an obit for Mary?
