Hi Everyone,
Here is a list of records available thru www.nobgensoc.org as of Feb. 20,
2002
1. "A" obits. These obits cover from the late 1800's to 2000. So far we
have scanned and created an all name index for the "A" drawer and that info
is online. We have almost finished the B drawers and have started the index.
This will be a long process but we have dedicated workers. We can send you
a scanned copy of the actual obit.
2. Jan 2001 obits all name index. Again we can email you a scanned copy of
the obit.
3. History Marker Book Index. This book written by Martha Bushong includes
many stories of people living in Noble County. Check out the index to see if
your ancestor is included.
4. Ghost Towns of Noble County. There are 26 towns along with the history
and settlers of each.
5. One Room School Houses We have included some lists of students
6. History of Albion
7. 1924 Common School graduates list
8. 1931 Common School graduates list
9. 1938 Common School graduates list
10. Index of the 1993 Ancestry Charts of Society members. Many surnames
from Noble County included here.
11. New Links on the link page. 9 new resources or genealogy aids.
Coming soon.
1. Researchers page. I am going to list the surnames and the email address
of the researchers so that people who are researching the same names can find
each other. I am using the guest book and emails to compile this list. If
you would like your email and surnames included please email me.
2. Free Look Ups. For this page I need volunteers. If you have a book,
atlas, or any other resource and would be willing to do look ups please let
me know. I am going to offer that I will look thru the obits drawers for
obits which are not online yet. So right now that is B-Z from 1880 to 2000.
3. Area researchers who research for a fee. If you would like to be added to
this list let me know your particulars.
If you have any ideas on things to add to the site or you would like to help
with the indexing of books or records just drop me an email.
Debbie
