I use and have used - for quite some time - LEgacy, FTM, Roots Magic and
Master genealogist. I have not had any problem transferring any of them from one
system to another (updated) one and I have changed computers three times in 10
years.
You should be aware though, that Windows XP takes a lot of extra computing
space and you should definitely consider raising your RAM/ROM totals. -
especially if you store photos as I do.
