Some time ago, I had looked to the listers wondering what M.W.A. stood for. Thanks to many listers I found out it was the
Modern Woodmen of America. Having contacted them, I found them to be very helpful. It was in regards to helping me identify
an old photograph. They were able to narrow the identification from six down to two. The info they sent me included the physical description and cause of death along with a bit of family history. They also told me what the payout to the family was upon the death of the applicant. Just thought I would pass this along. Definitely worth persuing if you know an ancestor was insured by this insurance company.
