Hi folks,
well, after a few years of lurking, I have a couple of questions for you!
There were a few Rice families that lived in Hancock County and they were buried in Durham Cemetery. Do you think you folks have any record of them?
They are: Elizabeth Stover Rice wife & mother d.1902
Leroy Rice 13 yrs old d.1870
Henry Rice
Clark H. Rice b 1866 (in Durham)(went to Almater School) 1909 or sometime near that...
Cyrus Strickler Rice d dec 1899
There are probably a couple more, but I cannot locate those notes at this moment. I would appreciate any information you can give me,and any direction towards sources in the area.
thanks so very much. I enjoy reading your newsletter, doesnt matter if it is my family or not!.

At an antique store in Delaware OH I found an old cabinet card photo by a Fort Madison Iowa photographer. Written on the back:
John & Sarah Haigh Sr
Photo of Mr and Mrs John Haigh Sr, Niota IL
Mrs Wm Wilkins, Niota, Ill
East Fort Madison Ill Meat Market
I think this is John Haigh and Sarah Sheward of Hancock Co IL.

Subject: article posted on Tioga Church Records
Hello.
I have posted an article on my website about using the church records at
the Bethany Church in Tioga.
The article is at:
http://www.rootdig.com/adn/tioga_church.html
There is also a link to some sample images of the church records on the site.
My Trautvetter family attended the church from the 1850s or so until the 1910s.

Michael,
I have ancestors who lived in Tioga. Would you be able to post surnames
found in the pre-1900 church records?

Unfortunately, I only have records for members of my family, almost every
Trautvetter reference, children of Conrad and Barbara Haase, some children
of August and Louise Meyers, and a few references to Martha Luft Kunz.

Not to my knowledge, I belong to William McCrary b. Walworth, WI (son of Alva b. NY) and Eva Riley (Dau. of Amos Riley of Ontario) They lived in around Outagamie county Wisconsin.
As I don't have access to my Database right now but, I believe My Riley/ Foote Cousins ended up in Utah. And as I believe they became Mormans I am very surprised that the Genealogy is not available! I know I gave a couple of them some of my data.
My Riley family came from Belfast, IRE and can be traced back to about the year 500. As they were of Royal blood.
McCrary line is in Montgomery County NY abt 1800 were for some reason It has hit a wall.
