Hello again Ms. Slighton:

I have found only one reference in the Lola B. Taylor "Gleanings..." book,
however, it refers to an "Edwin Foll" and not to the "John Foll" you are
seeking.

It is shown on page 109 of Ms. Taylor's book and is listed under "Letters in
the Post Office, September 25, 1891". The reference is listed simply as
FOLL, Edwin.

I could not find any "Foll" references in her other book "Early Marriages of
Richland County, Illinois--1840-1899, Volume 1" or in the "History of Clay
County, Illinois, Volume 1". However, in the Illinois Statewide Marriage
Index
the following John Foll marriages appear. Since your relative was living in
Richland County
in 1870 it is likely the marriage to Fanny J.Smalley references him. (As you
probably know,
Noble, Illinois is in Richland County.)
