Vigo County, Indiana (county seat is Terre Haute) has a great public library
with services available for searching genealogy. Go to
http://www.vigo.lib.in.us/ref/ask.htm and fill in their request form. Their
fees are small. They have numerous obits.

The Allen County, Indiana public library has the second largest genealogy
collection in the country. http://www.acpl.lib.in.us/

The Illinois state archives have numerous resources

The University of Illinois can direct you to help answer your questions
