I am not a relation. I found this in a scrapbook.

"Michael Henry Sullivan, pioneer resident of Iowa, passed away Saturday evening, February 27, 1938, at his home at 809 Pleasant Street (Osage). He was born in Middleboro, Massachusetts, December 15, 1851, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Timothy Sullivan. In 1856, he with his parents moved to Dubuque, where they lived seven years, then moved to Waverly, and in 1868 came to Osage.

At an early age Mr. Sullivan entered the employ of the Illinois Central railroad, but this work met with the disapproval of his parents, so he purchased a farm near McIntire and lived there until 1899.

He was married March 4, 1886 to Miss Rose W. Erwin, at Riceville. This union was blessed with seven children, one of whom, a son, Eugene, passed away in infancy. The six surviving are Winifred, Vera and Mrs. Elizabeth Kuhn, of Osage; Mrs. Marie O'Brien and Leo Sullivan, of Mason City; and Mrs. Monica King, of Sesser, Illinois. Mrs. Sullivan also survives and two sisters, Mrs. Anna Flynn of Minneapolis, and Mrs. Kate Erwin, of Osage.

Funeral services were held at Sacred Heart church Tuesday morning at 9 o'clock, and burial was made in the Sacred Heart Catholic cemetery."
