THE FREMONT COUNTY SUN. May 10, 1900. -- DIED, Monday, May 7, 1900, Mary, wife of James Cross, aged 78 years 1 month and 27 days.

Mary De Hart was born in Ohio, March 10, 1822; her parents died when she was quite young. She was married to James Cross in 1853. There were four girls and one boy, all living except one daughter who died several years ago.

Mrs. Cross came with her husband to Iowa in 1859 and settled in Riverton in 1883. She united with the Christian church in 1855 and has been a faithful mother and helpmate.

A short service was conducted at the house at 3 o'clock, May 8th, by Rev. Graves, after which the body was laid to rest in the Riverton cemetery. We join in extending heartfelt sympathy to the relatives and friends in their sad bereavement.
